The Clinton High School Women's Cross Country team earned a third-place finish at the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Central Mississippi Super Regional on Thursday, October 23, at Choctaw Trails in Clinton.
The Lady Arrows were led by
Riley Moore's third-place finish in the individual 5,000-meter race. The junior finished the Choctaw Trails' course in 20 minutes, 45 seconds. Freshman
Lily Sisson was right behind Moore, completing the race in 20:46 to secure fourth place.
Caroline Henry finished 11th spot with a 21:44, while
Eleanor Freeny (14th place) and
Payton Greer (15th place) crossed the line nearly together with times of 22:59 and 23:01, respectively, rounding out the Lady Arrows' top five and place both runners in the top 15.
Lauren Kennedy and
Eleanor Wilson contributed as the team's sixth and seventh runners, finishing in the 26th and 29th overall.

The Lady Arrows compete in their season's final meet at the MHSAA Class 7A State Championships on Saturday, November 1, at Choctaw Trails. Clinton's post time is 10 a.m.
