HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The Clinton High School Women's Cross Country had five Lady Arrows compete at the RunningLane Cross Country Championships on Saturday, December 6, racing in the Silver Division.

Eleanor Wilson, Lily Sisson, Caroline Henry, Riley Moore, and Payton Greer took on the championship 5000m course, which was highlighted by Henry's historic performance. The sophomore became just the fourth Lady Arrow ever to break the 20-minute barrier, crossing the finish line in 19 minutes, 56 seconds.

Moore followed with a great performance of 20:38, while Sisson, Wilson, and Greer rounded out Clinton's runners with times of 21:19, 21:30, and 23:08, respectively.

The Lady Arrows are under the direction of Head Women's Cross Country Coach Allen Marett. Marett guided Clinton to a sixth-place finish at the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 7A State Championships on November 1. Wilson, Sisson, Henry, Moore, and Greer were the Lady Arrows' five-scoring runners that Saturday at Choctaw Trails.
