The Clinton High School Women's Cross Country team grabbed the podium's top spot for the third-straight meet.
The Lady Arrows ran into a team win at the Clinton Arrow Invitational meet on the campus of Clinton High School on Saturday, defeating their closest opponent, St. Andrew's Episcopal School, by 14 points in the 5000m race.
Olivia Gibbs and
Riley Moore finished third and seventh, respectively, in the individual leader board, helping their team to 58 points.
The Lady Arrows have won the French Camp Invitational (Sept. 13) and Warren Central's Valhalla Invitational (Sept. 20) prior to the Clinton Arrow Invitational.
Gibbs paced Clinton with her 19:49 pace through the three-mile course that snakes through trees and fields surrounding CHS and nearby elementary school campuses of Northside and Eastside. Moore added her time of 20 minutes, 23 seconds.
Lily Sisson finished 12th, finishing her trek in 20 minutes, 46 seconds, and
Caroline Henry landed in 15th place with a time of 21 minutes, 19 seconds.
Eleanor Wilson was the final runner to score for the Lady Arrows as the freshman grabbed 22nd place. Wilson ran a time of 22:05.
In the junior-high's 3000m race, the CJHS Lady Arrows placed second in the team competition. AvaKate Boone finished in fifth with a time of 13 minutes, 14 seconds.
Lauren Kennedy ended her race in eighth with a 13:24 pace, and Norah Byers finished with a time of 13:27, finishing in ninth.
Katherine Chittom rounded out the top-10 finishers with her 13:40 pace.
