JACKSON -- The Clinton High School Baseball team completed a Region 2-7A series sweep of the Murrah Mustangs with an 27-0 victory in game two on Friday night at historic Smith-Wills Stadium.

The Arrows broke out for 11 runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back, pairing the explosive start with Parker Burrow's perfect outing on the mound and steady defense in the run-rule win.

Clinton improved to 12-3 overall and 3-1 in region action.

Burrow set the tone on the bump, tossing three perfect innings. The sophomore left-hander faced the minimum nine batters, striking out seven in the dominant performance.

Ethan Dodson helped break the game open early with a two-run triple. Stone Crain highlighted the first-inning surge, finishing with a single and a double, while driving in four runs. Crain later scored a run on an error in the same sequence of his double.

The Arrows added runs on two hit-by-pitches, sacrifice fly from Wesley Warren, and a fielder's choice off the Burrow's bat.

Clinton kept the pressure on in the second inning, adding four more runs to extend its lead. Chad Bates hit a two-run double to center field, while two additional runs scored on a passed ball and a wild pitch.

In their final at-bats in the third inning, the Arrows erupted for 12 more runs to cap the scoring. A Case Robinson single, an error off David Steelman's bat, and a Bates walk sparked the rally. Dodson added two RBIs with a double to left field, and fielder's choice off Jordan Mathis' bat brough in another run. Robinson later drove in a run with a groundout.

Brady Holmes added a single, Steelman drew a bases-loaded walk, and John Jackson reached on an error to bring in another run. Reese Lott and Ryder Wilson each drew bases-loaded walks to plate the final runs of the contest.
