JACKSON -- The Clinton Lady Arrows dominated their final MHSAA Region 2-7A match, cruising past the Murrah Mustangs, 7-0, at Hughes Field.
Mamie Boswell and
Ashton Montgomery each scored a brace to pace the Lady Arrows attack, while
Carly Howell,
Joelle Ambrose, and
Taylor Stamps also found the back of the net in the seven-goal rout.
Clinton capitalized on set pieces and second-half attacking chances.
Elise Thomas and
Cate Thompson delivered assists off corner kicks in the first half.
Zariya Bass,
Emily Fortenberry,
Addison White, and
Leah Strickler each recorded assists after the break as the Lady Arrows controlled play from the opening whistle.
The win capped the Lady Arrows' region schedule with a 8-2 overall record, improving their overall record to 13-3-3 for the season.
