BRANDON -- The Clinton High School Men's Golf team grabbed a top-10 finish on Monday.
In the NWR Invitational,
Mattox Miley carded an 87-stroke round and led the Arrows to a ninth-place finish at Castlewoods Country Club.
Miley finished tied for 32nd on the individual leaderboard. The sophomore carded two pars and a birdie on Castlewoods' front nine, scoring plus-6 at the turn. Then, Miley added three more pars on the back, finishing his round with his plus-15 scorecard.
Anderson Schoggin and
Ben Brunson both scored 92 on their 18-hole treks. The Arrow pair tied for 49th place individually.
Williams Parry added a 93 score, finishing in 51st individually, and
Kellan Langdon, an 8th-grader, tacked on a 98.

The Arrows play in the Clinton Arrow Invitational next Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Live Oaks Golf Club in Jackson. Then, the Arrows participate in Pearl's stroke-play event on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Pearl Municipal Golf Course.
