The Clinton Track and Field program hosted its first track meet of the 2025 season on Friday at Arrow Field. The Clinton High School, Sumner Hill Junior High School, Clinton Junior High School teams, all participated in the meet.
NOTABLE WOMEN'S RESULTS
Khamrin Harper and Karsen Goodwin finished first and second place in the 100-meter dash. Harper and Goodwin finished first and second, and
Kamiah Mounger placed third in the 200-meter race. In the 400-meter race, Mounger finished first, and
Kyla Weathersby was the third-place finisher.
Additional top finishers on the track included
Olivia Lamier (First - 800m), Shekinah Jenkins (Third - 800m), Riley Moore (First - 1600m & 3200m), and
Andraeia Cavett (Second - 100m Hurdles). The Clinton women's relay teams finished first in the 4-by-200m and 4-by-800m relays.
In the field, Taylor Finley placed first in the high jump event and finished third in the long jump event.
Jamaya Ivory finished third in the high jump and triple-jump events.
Kate Jackson was the pole vault winners.
Kyla Weathersby won the triple-jump event.
Morgan Luss was the winner of the shot put and discuss events.
NOTABLE MEN'S RESULTS
Jimmy Bowie was the winner in the 100m, third-place finisher in the 200m, and was victorious in the long jump.
Aiden Knox won third place in the 100m. In the 400-meter race,
Kaleb Clincy placed first, and Somtochukwu Agbahiwe crossed the finish line in third.
Devon Denson and
Adam Boone were the second-place and third-place finishers, respectively, in the 800m. Trevion Casnel placed second in the 110m and 300m hurdles events. The Clinton relay teams won first place in the 4-by-800m race and second place in the 4-by-200m race.
Osahon Ekunwe tied for second place in the high jump event. Daniel Dickinson and Tyler Blemgren claimed first and third, respectively, in the pole vault event.
Nathan Perkins won the discuss event and placed second in the shot put. Amaree Good was the second-place finisher in discuss.

The Clinton High School team participates in Madison Central High School's Rumble in the Jungle Meet on Saturday, Feb. 22. Events are set to start at 11 a.m. in Madison.
For Sumner Hill and CJHS, the Lady Arrows and Arrows compete in the first of two Junior Arrows Invitational on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Arrow Field. The meet starts at 4 p.m.
