PHILADELPHIA -- The Clinton High School Women's Golf team kept rolling on Wednesday.

At a tournament hosted by Choctaw Central High School, the Lady Arrows put four players into the Top 10, and the team finished in second place at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club. Clinton's 183 total was 15 strokes behind the top-finisher Lewisburg High School.

"Our ladies played well on a really good course," Arrow Golf Head Coach Clay Norton said. "Being able to play Dancing Rabbit is as good as it gets. I am really proud of the way we worked our way around the course."

Sophomore Ellyn Burchfield, who finished third in the individual standings, led the Lady Arrows as she carded an 87 for her round. Sarah Blake Thompson carded a 96, and Laney Mitchell broke the 100 threshold with her 98. Thompson and Mitchell finished sixth and seventh places, respectively. Kasey Pigg rounded out the Lady Arrows as she scored 105 and placed in eighth.

Burchfield scored 3-over on the front nine and was 12-over on the back nine. Her scorecard included eight pars, finishing only six strokes off the individual leader.

Thompson's round was highlighted by three pars. Pigg parred the par-5 second hole, and birdied the par-3 fourth to add a highlight to her round.

Clinton tees off again at the Clinton Girls' Invitational on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Live Oaks Golf Club.
