PEARL -- The Clinton High School women's golf team played some of its best golf of the early season on Wednesday, August 26, at the Pearl Municipal Golf Course.

The Lady Arrows finished second place in the team standings, combining for a team score of 177 over the 18-hole event.

Ellyn Burchfield paced Clinton with a round of 85, finishing fourth place individually. The fourth-place showing marked Burchfield's highest individual finish of the season.

Laney Mitchell followed with a 92 to finish sixth. Harper Davis and Chloe Abbott Dickinson carded a 102, with both Lady Arrows finishing tied for ninth individually.

Clinton has competed in three events this season, with Wednesday's tournament marking the first time all four Lady Arrows finished inside the individual top 10.
