BROOKHAVEN -- The Clinton High School women's cross country team opened the 2026 season with a team victory at the Ole Brook Invitational on Thursday, August 13.

Riley Moore paced the Lady Arrows, winning the individual title with a time of 21:38 in the 5000-meter race.

Olivia Gibbs followed in second place at 21:59, while Eleanor Wilson finished third with a time of 22:14, giving Clinton each of the top three individual finishers.

Caroline Henry and Lauren Kennedy completed Clinton's scoring five, placing fourth and 11th, respectively. The Lady Arrows finsihed with 21 points to claim the season-opening victory.

Clinton entered the 2026 campaign after finishing sixth at the MHSAA Class 7A State Championships in 2025.

The Clinton Junior High School girls' cross country team also claimed a team title at the Ole Brook Invitational.

AvaKate Boone led the Lady Arrows by winning the individual title with a time of 13:27 in the 3000-meter race.

Anna Dear, Norah Byars, Mirabel Nohra, and Avery Harrison all earned top-10 finishes, giving CJHS five runners among the top 10.
