CLINTON -- The Clinton Arrows Swim Team (CAST) has announced its tryout date for the 2026 season. Tryouts will be held on Saturday, March 28, at the Baptist Healthplex in Clinton, beginning at 8:45 a.m.

The tryout is open to students entering 7th through 12th grade. Participants must bring an updated physical, a signed parent consent form, a swimsuit, goggles, and a towel.

CAST enters the new season coming off a strong finish in 2025 at the MHSAA Class III State Swim Championship in Tupelo. The Arrows earned multiple championship-heat berths, while Hayes Montgomery captured a bronze medal in the 100-yard backstroke, marking Clinton's first top-three finish under head coach Marcy Rushing and ending a nearly decade-long podium drought for the program.

Clinton also saw several swimmers and relay teams place among top finishers in the state's highest classification, including finals appearances from Ellie Rushing in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle, Montgomery in the 100-yard freestyle, and both boys' and girls' relay teams.
