It is becoming a yearly tradition for the Clinton High School Track and Field team and does not look to be stopping any time soon.Â
The Lady Arrows and the Arrows won the Women's and Men's MHSAA North State Championships on Saturday at Arrow Field. The Lady Arrows claimed the north state title with 217 total points -- 107 more than second-place Southaven. On the men's side, the Arrows held off Tupelo with 40 and one-half point advantage, 137.5-97.
For the Lady Arrows, Saturday's meet victory is the 12th consecutive north state title and 13th overall. On the other side, the Arrows collected their seventh straight north state title and the team's eighth overall.
Clinton competes in the MHSAA Class 7A State Championship Meet on Saturday, May 3, at the Woody Barnett Track Complex on the campus of Pearl High School.
WOMEN'S STATE QUALIFIERS
The following individual female athletes qualified for the state championships by finishing in the top four of their respective events at the North State Championships.
In addition to the individual athletes, the Lady Arrows qualified their 4x100m relay, 4x200m relay, 4x400m relay, and 4x800m relay teams for the state championships.
