GULFPORT -- The Clinton High School Men's Soccer team tied both games in the I-10/I-20 Blast Tournament. The Arrows tied the St. Stanislaus Rock-A-Chaws, 0-0, on Friday afternoon and salvaged a 1-1 draw against the hosts, the Gulfport Admirals, on Saturday morning.

Clinton's tournament opener saw the red and black unable to put away a multitude of attacking opportunities in the scoreless game against St. Stanislaus at Herbert Wilson Recreation Center.
The Arrows and the Rock-A-Chaws both never seemed to have the composure to grab the decisive goal in the 60-minute contest.
Jesus Estrada and
Ryan Saxton combined for a clean sheet, splitting the goalkeeping duties.

Arrow junior
Murphy Schoggen hit a screamer from outside the 18-yard box, which leveled the game in the 52nd minute at the Gulfport Sportsplex. The outstanding finish -- set up by
Owen Coker's pass -- gave Clinton the opportunity to hold on to the draw though the visitors had several opportunities to take the lead before the final whistle.
Gulfport scored right before halftime, taking a one-goal advantage in the 36th minute.
