FRENCH CAMP -- The Clinton High School Men's Cross Country team claimed first place out of seven teams in dominant fashion on Saturday.
The Arrows claimed four of the top five spots and Clinton's team total of one hour, 32 minutes, and 47 seconds, beat the hosts French Camp Academy by eight minutes to win the team event at the French Camp Invitational.
Clinton's
Hyrum Boone won the individual 5-kilometer event, finishing the race in 17 minutes, 48 seconds.
Bobby Guillory (18:21),
Adam Boone (18:44), and
Dillon Pittman (18:45) were the Arrows that finished in second to fourth places, respectively.
Kushal Mannam (19:07),
Levi Cook (19:27), and
Will Kennedy (19:34) rounded out Clinton's Top 10 finishers.
All 18 Arrow runners finished in the Top 45 out of 81 competitors in the high school race. Fourteen of the 18 were placed in the Top 25.
In the two-mile junior high event, the Arrows claimed first place out of six teams and had six runners place in the Top 10. Clinton's
Daniel Dolson won the 3200 with his time of 11 minutes, 44 seconds.
Logan Moore (11:57) finished second place, and
Micah Kieffer (12:07) was the third place finisher, individually.
William Howell,
Noah Duncan, and
Ezra Connelly were the other Arrows in the Top 10 out of 63 junior-high competitors.
