The Clinton Arrows Swim Team (CAST) competed in the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) State Championship Meet at Tupelo Aquatic Center.
Hayes Montgomery placed 5th in 200 Yard Individual Medley and 6th in 100 Yard Freestyle.
Ellie Rushing placed 6th overall in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 7th in the 100 Yard Freestyle.
The Girls 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of
Kate Gilliam,
Ashlee Sumrall,
Clara McCombs, and
Ellie Rushing placed 8th overall. The Girls 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of
Abbie Rushing,
Clara McCombs,
Ashlee Sumrall, and
Kate Gilliam placed 8th overall. The Boys 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of
Hayes Montgomery,
Isaac Baird,
Reed Watts, and
Joshua Ross placed 8th overall. The girls placed 10th overall and the boys placed 11th overall out of 23 Class 3 teams.
"This has been a great season for the swim team," Head CAST Coach Marcy Rushing said. "We are looking forward to next year and hosting more home meets at the Clinton YMCA."
