VICKSBURG – It was a long, hot Saturday, August 23, on the deck of the Vicksburg City Pool, but the Clinton Arrows Swim Team (CAST) fought through the conditions as they competed against St. Andrews Episcopal School, Warren Central High School, West Jones High School, Murrah High School, Newton County High School, Oak Grove High School, and Jim Hill High School at the Fun in the Sun Meet.
CAST Women's team came in fourth place, and the Men's team came in third at the meet's conclusion.
"My favorite part about today was watching the whole team get up and cheer Clara on," Julie Cross, a CAST mom, said after Senior Clara McCombs swam the 500 freestyle. "CAST swimmers love the sport and each other; encouraging one another on the pool deck has led to bonds of sportsmanship and friendship that will last a lifetime."

Head Swim Coach Marcy Rushing and CAST hope Clinton fans will come out to support them at their second ever home meet this Thursday, August 28 against Warren Central at the Clinton YMCA Pool.
