The Clinton Arrows dropped Friday night's game to the Tigers of South Panola by a score of 26-11. The loss drops the Arrows to 0-5 on the season, while the win moves the Tigers to 4-1.
The Arrows struck first with a 24 yard field goal from Senior K
Hayden Wolfe. The Tigers took the lead with a 3 yard touchdown run with 9 seconds left in the half, but they missed the Extra Point and the score remained 6-3 going into halftime.
In the 3rd quarter, the Tigers added a 78 yard Touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage to make the score 13-3. The Arrows then marched the ball deep into Tiger territory trying to turn it back into a one score game. The Arrows, however, fumbled the ball inside the 10 yard line and turned it over to the Tigers. South Panola then scored 2 quick touchdowns with less than 4 minutes left in the game to extend their lead to 26-3.
The Arrows cut into the lead in the 4th quarter with a 4 yard touchdown run from Sophomore RB
Jaydann Hollins and a 2-point conversion from Senior RB
Brady Torrence to make the score 26-11. The Tigers then recovered the onside kick and ran the clock out to end the game.

Jakobe Williams led the offense in rushing with 11 carries for 68 yards. Sophomore WR
Aiden Knox hauled in a 46 yard reception to set up the late TD for the Arrows.

Chase Harper had an INT on the night, while Sophomore LB
Jaiden Jefferson led the team in tackles with 6. Senior LB
Michael Johnson and Senior DB
Donovan Coleman added 5 tackles each.
The Arrows return to action at home again next week when they play host to the Terry Bulldogs Friday, September 29 at 7 PM. The Arrows will be hosting Youth Football Night, recognizing the hard work of the Clinton Youth Football Association. Players and coaches will be recognized before the game and will form the tunnel as future Arrows standouts.
