As the Clinton Arrows Soccer team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday by recognizing 13 graduating members of the Class of 2024, they also scored a big win over a previously undefeated Lewisburg team by a score of 2-1. The win pushes the Arrows to 9-0 on the season.
The Arrows opened the scoring on a corner kick from Senior
Logan Bryant. Bryant sent the ball in from the corner position, and the ball ricocheted off of multiple players before making its way past the keeper and into the net to give the Arrows an early 1-0 lead.
In the 2nd half, the Arrows struck again to extend their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Senior
Hayden Wolfe. The Patriots scored late in the 2nd half to trim the lead to 2-1, but the score remained there until the final whistle and the Arrows came away with the victory.
The Arrows return to action on Tuesday night as they open up Region 2-7A play in Gluckstadt as they take on the Germantown Mavericks. Kickoff will be at 7:15 PM.
Before the game Saturday, the Arrows recognized 13 Seniors who have played pivotal roles in the building of the program over the past 3 seasons, including back-to-back State Championships.
