The Arrows will host the Mavericks of Germantown on Friday night at Arrow Field in a pivotal Region 2-7A matchup.  The Arrows come into the game with an overall record of 1-7 and an 0-2 mark in Region 2-7A.  The Mavericks come into Friday night with a 4-5 record overall and a 1-2 mark in the region.  The winner will have a leg up in the race for the playoffs as they will hold the tiebreaker between the two teams as the 4 spots are earned.

When Clinton Has the Ball:

The Arrows scored 28 points last week against Tupelo, mainly through the air. Senior QB Sam Semi threw for 228 yards on 14 completions to go along with 3 TD.  Sophomore WR Jaydann Hollins led the team with 5 receptions for 124 yards and a TD, and Senior RB Brady Torrence caught 6 passes for 81 yards and 2 TD. Germantown's defense has allowed 29.7 points per game this year, including 45.5 points per game in their last 2 ball games.  

When Germantown Has the Ball:

The Mavericks have scored 24.7 points per game this year, including their 34 point outburst at home against Starkville in their Region 2-7A opening win against the Yellow Jackets. The Mavericks sport a balanced attack through the air and on the ground.  QB Jackson Hood has thrown for 1,167 yards and 7 TD to go along with 7 INT on the season.  On the ground, RB Ny Johnson leads the team with 63 carries and 496 yards along with 8 TD.  RB Lawson Branson has rushed for 286 yards and 2 TD, while Dakota Haralson has rushed for 271 yards and 3 TD.

Playoff Scenarios:

Tupelo (3-0)- Playoff spot is clinched.  They have a bye week this week and play Starkville next week in the season finale.  If they beat Starkville next week, they are Region champions.
Madison Central (1-1)- If they beat Starkville tonight, they will clinch a playoff spot.  If they lose to Starkville tonight, next Thursday's matchup at home vs. Clinton will determine playoff eligibility.
Germantown (1-2)- If they win at Clinton tonight, they will clinch a playoff spot.  If they lose at Clinton tonight, they could be eliminated from playoff contention depending on the outcome of the Madison Central/Starkville game.
Starkville (1-2)- If they beat Madison Central tonight, they will clinch a playoff spot.  If they lose to Madison and Clinton beats Germantown, Starkville would have to win at Tupelo in the season finale to get into the playoffs.
Clinton (0-2)- A win against Germantown will go a long way in the fight for a playoff spot, but will not guarantee a spot unless Starkville beats Madison Central this week.  If Madison beats Starkville and Clinton beats Germantown but loses to Madison Central, that would create a 3-way tie for the 3rd and 4th playoff spots.
