STARKVILLE -- The CJHS archery team qualified for the state championship at the AIMS North State MSNASP Bullseye North State Tournament Wednesday, March 26, at the Mississippi State University Horse Park.
The Junior Arrow archers were paced by seventh-graders
Reed Courtney and
Riggs Peacock, while
Micah Riggs,
Presley Mitchell, and
Grace Bell rounded out CJHS's top five scorers. Courtney posted a team-best 251, while Peacock followed with a 249. Riggs added a 247, Mitchell shot a 242, and Bell finished with 239.
CJHS will take all 21 archers to the AIMS MSNASP Bullseye Overall State Tournament Archery Championship, which is set for April 28-29 at the Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center in Hattiesburg.
