HATTIESBURG -- The Clinton Junior High School (CJHS) archery team concluded its 2026 season with an appearance in the AIMS Middle School Bullseye State Championship on Monday, April 27, at Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center.
Competing against top programs from across Mississippi, CJHS posted a team score of 2,765, highlighted by 61 perfect 10s across six rounds of competition.
On the boys' side,
Charles Langdon and
Micah Riggs paced the Arrows with matching scores of 263. Langdon's total included a perfect 50 in one round.
Reed Courtney added 251 points, while
Riggs Peacock and Bryan Frazier each contributed 247.
For the girls,
Presley Mitchell led the way with 236 points.
Aubree Frank added a 204, a personal best, while
Grace Bell recorded 195.
Megan Bullock posted a personal-best 190, and
Kennedy Bombich added a personal-best 181.
Guided by Head Coach Preston Hebert and Assistant Coach Amber Godfrey, the Arrows capped their second official season of middle school competiton after earning. their state berth through a strong performance at the AIMS North State Championship on March 26 at the Mississippi State University Horse Park on March 26.
