OXFORD -- The Clinton Boys' Powerlifting team opened the 2026 season with a strong showing at the MHSAA Region 2-7A Region Meet on Saturday, February 8, finishing fourth at Oxford High School.

In their first competition of the year, the Arrows earned multiple podium finishes across several weight classes, promising their continuation in the season.

• Davieon Ferrell — 2nd place, 165 weight class
• Edward Hamilton — 3rd place, 165 weight class
• Braylen Brister — 3rd place, 165 weight class
• Jeron Benson — 3rd place, 198 weight class

The lifters who placed will advance to the MHSAA Region 2-7A North Half Meet on Saturday, February 21, at Lewisburg High School, with the goal of qualifying for the State Championship.
