BILOXI -- Clinton High School senior Parker Cole became the first member of the Arrows' men's golf program since 2023 to compete at the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 7A State Golf Championships on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 26-27, at Sunkist Country Club.

Cole earned his spot in the state championship field following a phenomenal performance at the MHSAA Region 2-7A Championship on Oct. 13 at Patrick Farms Golf Club in Pearl.

The senior led the Arrows with a round of 80, finishing 11th individually in the regional tournament and securing a berth in the Class 7A State Championships.

His performance highlighted an improved showing for the Clinton men's golf program, which finished fifth in the regional standings with a team score of 350 -- a 46-stroke improvement from the 2025 season.

While the Arrows did not advance to the state tournament as a team, Cole's individual qualification ensured Clinton would be represented at the season's final event for the first time in three years.

At the state championships, Cole carded rounds of 94 and 98 for a 36-hole total of 192, finishing tied for 82nd in the individual standings.

Cole's advancement to the state championship marked a fitting conclusion to his high school golf career, highlighting his individual accomplishment and the progress made by the Clinton's men's golf program throughout the season.
