JACKSON -- The Clinton High School men's junior varsity golf team claimed a tournament victory on Wednesday, September 23, at Live Oaks Golf Club.

The Arrows finished first in the team standings, combining for a team score of 359 over the 18-hole, par-71 event. Clinton edged runner-up Puckett by two strokes to secure the team title.

Ben Brunson paced Clinton with a round of 86, finishing second individually. Brunson made the turn at 8-over before recording a birdie on hole 12 and finishing the back nine at 7-over.

Kellan Langdon followed with an 88 to finish sixth individually. Robert Farr carded an 89 to place seventh, giving Clinton three golfers inside the individual top seven.

Jack Dear finished with a 96 to complete Clinton's four scoring rounds, while Tyler Montgomery also carded a 97 for the Arrows.

All five Clinton golfers finished inside the individual top 25 as the Arrows held off Puckett for the team championship.
