STARKVILLE -- The Clinton High School Women's Soccer team dominated the Starkville Lady Jackets in a MHSAA Region 2-7A match on Tuesday night at Yellowjacket Stadium.
Kayla Jones and
Zariya Bass each recorded a brace to pace the Lady Arrows' attack, while
Elise Thomas,
Joelle Ambrose, and
Taylor Robinson chipped in goals in the complete team effort, moving the team's region record to 4-1 and 9-2-3 overall.
Junior goalkeeper
Ellyn Burchfield tallied her ninth clean sheet of the season.
Clinton's relentless pressure brought the match to an early conclusion as the contest was halted in the 50th minute due to the MHSAA's mercy rule.
