The Clinton High School Baseball team landed nine players on all-region teams after its successful regular season and postseason run to the second round of the MHSAA Class 7A Playoffs. These players were recognized at the Arrow Baseball banquet on Tuesday night in Clinton.
Arrows that received Region 2-7A First Team honors were
Chad Bates,
Stone Crain,
Ethan Dodson,
Parker Thames, and
Josef Walker.
The Arrows placed on the Region 2-7A Second Team included
Parker Burrow,
Tyrese Haggard,
Brody Zumbro, and
David Steelman.
Clinton ended the regular season with a 19-7 overall record. The Arrows were seeded fourth out of Region 2-7A and swept the Hernando Tigers, the Region 1-7A champions, in the opening round of the MHSAA Class 7A Playoffs. Clinton battled with Region 2-7A foe, the Tupelo Golden Wave, but fell in two games, ending the season in the second round.
