CLINTON -- Behind a standout performance from its senior class, the Clinton High School baseball team closed out the 2026 season with a 14-2 rout of Brookhaven on Friday night at Arrow Baseball Field.
Prior to first pitch, the program recognized its senior class of
Stone Crain,
David Steelman,
Dylan Steelman, London McKenzie,
Ethan Dodson,
Chad Bates,
Brayden Johnson,
Ryan Saxton, and
Drew McGahey for their contributions to the Arrow baseball program.
Crain drove in six runs, highlighted by a grand slam in the bottom of the second inning, as the Arrows totaled 13 RBIs in the win.
Crain and McGahey combined for four innings of two-run baseball, allowing just three hits. Crain struck out three batters across three innings of work.
Clinton took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning on sacrifice flies from
Brady Holmes and Crain.
The Arrows broke the game open in the second, plating five runs. Bates scored on a passed ball before Crain delivered his grand slam to extend the advantage.
Clinton continued its offensive surge in the third inning. Dodson ripped a two-run double, and Holmes followed with a two-run single to push the lead to 11-1.
Dodson added another two-run double in the fourth inning, and Crain ended the game in walk-off fashion with an RBI double.
Clinton finished the season with a 15-11 overall record.
