The Clinton High School Baseball team tallied 15 hits, struck out eight batters, and run-ruled the Warren Central Vikings, 11-1, in six innings on Saturday at the Arrow Baseball Field.
The Arrows won in part to a six-run, fifth inning.
Brody Zumbro singled, scoring one run,
Brayden Johnson singled, scoring one run,

Chad Bates drew a walk, scoring a run,
Josef Walker and
Ethan Dodson were struck by a pitch, driving in a run each, and
Stone Crain hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. The offensive output carried the Arrows' advantage to 8-1.
Jack Grove led things off on the mound for Clinton. The righty allowed four hits and one run over two and two-third innings, striking out five and walking one.
Tyrese Haggard earned the win during his relief appearance. Haggard allowed zero hits and no runs over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking none.
Bates and Haggard each collected three hits for the Arrows. Dodson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, driving in four runs.
Parker Thames and Crain each had multiple hits for Clinton.
Bates singled to center field, which helped Clinton tie the game at one in the bottom of the second. Dodson doubled, scoring one run, to give the Arrows their lead in the fourth.
UP NEXT
The Arrows take on the Raymond Rangers at Arrow Baseball Field. The doubleheader features a 4 p.m. start time for the junior varsity followed by the Varsity game at 6 p.m.
