MADISON -- The Clinton High School Women's Basketball team grabbed its second road victory in Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) District 2-7A on Tuesday night.
Jatoi Johnson scored 22 points, grabbed five rebounds, and collected four steals as the Lady Arrows defeated the Madison Central Lady Jaguars, 52-37, at Madison Central High School. It was Clinton's second straight MHSAA District 2-7A win after the red and black defeated the Murrah Lady Mustangs, 43-24, last Thursday at Arrow Gym.
The Lady Arrows (16-5, 3-2 District 2-7A) shot 44-percent from the field and counted two out of five 3-point attempts in the double-digit win over the Lady Jaguars. Clinton bested Madison Central in the rebound department, 32-28. The Lady Arrows collected six blocks.
Aria Jones chipped in 12 points, four rebounds, and a steal.
Grace Eatmon led the Lady Arrows with seven rebounds.
Clinton broke a 12-all tie during the second quarter, outpacing Madison Central, 15-6, for a 27-18 advantage by the break. Clinton would never trail during the second half as it led 35-25 after the third and added five more points to its lead during the fourth.

The Lady Arrows play their second game against the Germantown Lady Mavericks on Friday night at Arrow Gym. The game tips off at 6 p.m.
Clinton defeated Germantown 42-34 in the previous MHSAA District 2-7A game on Dec. 17 in Gluckstadt.
