CLINTON -- Aria Jones and
Grace Eatmon each signed their national letters of intent to continue their playing careers at the collegiate level at a signing ceremony held inside the Clinton High School Media Center surrounded by family, friends, teammates, and coaches on Tuesday, April 14.
Jones joins Southwest Mississippi Community College, while Eatmon committed to Northwest Mississippi Community College.
"What went into my decision was how my coach made me feel chosen as a player," Jones said. "He poured into me right away and didn't waste any time showing his belief in me, which made me feel really special. I'm really excited going into the season."
Eatmon echoed a similar sentiment about her connection to her future program.
"My coach has been supporting me and watching me since I was in eighth grade, so it really feels like family," Eatmon said. "I know it's a great environment down there. I'm excited for this new chapter. I'm ready to put in work, get in the gym, win, and keep pushing forward."
Jones and Eatmon guided the Lady Arrows to a 17-14 overall record and a second-round appearance in the MHSAA Class 7A playoffs. The postseason run was highlighted by a 34-27 win over the DeSoto Central Lady Jaguars during the first round on February 20Â in Southaven.
