BRANDON -- The Clinton High School Cross Country Team will be satisfied with its first cross-country meet of the season.

The Arrow runners won the Victors' Kickoff at the Quarry Meet on Saturday morning. Hyrum Boone and Adam Boone paced Clinton's victorious effort with Top 10 finishes in the event.

Hyrum Boone placed sixth and ran an 18:12 5K race, and Adam Boone finished in ninth place, running a 18:24 three-mile. Kushal Mannam (18:56), Bobby Guillory (18:58), and Dillon Pittman (19:01) rounded out Clinton's the top five runners. Mannam, Guillory, and Pittman finished 17th, 18th, and 20th, respectively.

The Arrows' Junior High team finished in first place at the event, as well. Daniel Dolson, Logan Moore, William Howell and Noah Duncan placed in the middle school race's Top 10.

The Clinton Men's Cross-Country Team returns to action at the French Camp Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 7.
