The Clinton Arrows Baseball team defeated the Brookhaven Panthers on Tuesday night by a score of 11-1. The game was the final contest of the 2024 season, and the Arrows finished the season with a record of 11-14.
The Arrows struck early and often, scoring 7 runs in the top of the 1st inning. Sophomore
Stone Crain led off the game with a homerun. The first five Arrows to the plate recorded a hit. Sophomore Etahn Dodson singled in a run before Junior
Parker Thames drove in the third run of the game. Sophomore
Chad Bates and Senior
Michael Anderson also had RBI hits to bring home the 7 runs of the 1st inning.
The Arrows added 2 more runs in the top of the 2nd when Bates doubled to left field to add 2 more RBI to his total.
The Arrows scored their last 2 runs in the top of the 5th when Dodson doubled to bring home a run and Sophomore
Landyn Baker also doubled to bring home Dodson. The Arrows recorded the final 3 outs in the bottom of the 5th to finish the game at 11-1.
At the plate for the Arrows,
Josef Walker, Dodson, Baker, Thames, Bates, and Anderson all recorded 2 hits.
Mason Osborne,
AJ Seiter, and Crain each added a hit to give the Arrows their 15 hits as a team.
On the mound for the Arrows, Senior
Kemper Meacham earned the win, going 4 innings, only allowing 3 hits and 1 run.
Brody Zumbro and
Ethan Ross combined for the final 3 outs.
