The Clinton High School Bowling teams maintained unbeaten records this week. The Lady Kingpins and Kingpins played matches against Germantown on Monday and Northwest Rankin on Tuesday.
LADY KINGPINS RECAP
Against Germantown, the Lady Kingpins picked up a clean sweep of the Lady Mavericks with a 6-0 victory at Indian Lanes in Clinton.
Laila James, a junior, had a top game score of 166. Sophomore
Ruby Martindale and 8th-grader
McKinley Allen posted the other top scores with games of 153 and 149, respectively.
The next day, Clinton defeated Northwest Rankin, 5-1, at Fannin Lanes in Brandon. Senior
Layla McGee led the Lady Kingpins with her team-high game score of 213.
Tempe Cameron added a 169, and
Bailey Ferguson contributed a 168.
The two wins advanced the Lady Kingpins' record to a perfect 3-0.
KINGPINS RECAP
The Kingpins bested the Germantown Mavericks with a 5-1 win as
Aiden McGloster, a junior, led the team with his team-high game score of 217 at Indian Lanes on Monday. Senior
Andrew Graves contributed a 192. Freshman Isaace Kranson and senior DeAngelo Dorsey added scores of 159.
The Kingpins returned to action against the defending Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 7A champions Northwest Rankin at Fannin Lanes on Tuesday. It was a 3-3 draw.
According to Head Bowling Coach Les Kelly, it was a good showing for his team.
Aiden McGloster improved on his Monday score, posting a 246 and three-game series of 650 (a 218 point-per-game average) against the Cougars. Dorsey added a 211 game-high score. Evan McGloster tallied a 193, and Graves chipped in a 187.
Entering next week, the Kingpins carry a 2-0-1 record.

The Lady Kingpins and Kingpins square off against Warren Central High School in Clinton on Monday. The matches will start at 4 p.m. at Indian Lanes.
