BRANDON -- The Clinton High School Bowling teams swept the Brandon High School Bowling teams at Fannin Lanes on Monday afternoon.
The Lady Kingpins advanced their perfect record to 8-0, defeating the Lady Bulldogs, 5-1. After six matches, the Kingpins and the Bulldogs were tied 3-3, but the Kingpins prevailed on pin count, 2,982-2,897. The tight victory bettered the Kingpins record to 7-0-1.
TOP PERFORMERS
McKinley Allen, an eighth-grader, led the Lady Kingpins with her high game of 208. Seniors
Layla McGee and
Tempe Cameron scored a high games of 169 and 173, respectively, in the eighth consecutive victory.
On the men's side,
Andrew Graves continued his strong season with a three-game series of 615 and a high game of 226.
Aiden McGloster scored a high game of 273 in a three-game series of 615.
Isaac Krason scored a high game of 185, and
Jake Bell contributed a high game of 180.

The Clinton Bowling teams return to action against Madison Central High School on Thursday at Indian Lanes here in Clinton -- a venue change from originally scheduled. The bowling matches start at 4 p.m.
