In the first overtime period, the Lady Arrows earned a corner kick in the final minutes. Junior

Jamilah Williams deflected the ball past the keeper and propelled the Lady Arrows into the lead at 2-1.
The second period of overtime was scoreless, giving the Lady Arrows the win at the final of 2-1.
Lady Arrows' Head Coach Elliot Rimmer said of his team's effort, "Credit to Tupelo. They had a great game plan and they did a great job executing and causing us problems. It was a long, tough week where we played two region games that both went to OT and one all the way to kicks from the spot, but to the girls' credit, they found a way to win and in this region that's never an easy thing. Tonight will end up being a positive for us even with the less than optimal performance, because it caused us to dig deep and show some of that resilience that carried us last year. All focus now is on Starkville Tuesday and heading into Christmas break 4-0 in region play."
The Lady Arrows return home on Tuesday night as they play host to the Starkville Yellowjackets. Kickoff will be at 5:30 PM.
