TUPELO -- The Clinton High School Men's Cross Country team competed in their second meet of the season on Saturday morning.
The Arrows were led by freshman
Logan Moore, who placed 16th individually, and placed seventh in the team competition in the 5000m race at the Fleet Feet Tupelo Invitational. Moore paced himself to a time of 17 minutes, four seconds.
Godwin Onyia ran a 17:21 to finish in 21st.
Daniel Dolson and
Bobby Guillory with times of 17:59 and 18:03. Dolson and Guillory placed 36th and 40th, respectively.
Noah Duncan rounded out the Arrows' team score with his 48th-place finish -- a time of 18:17.
In the invitational's middle-school, two-mile race, the CJHS boys' team won its second straight event of the season.
Micah Kieffer placed fourth overall with the Junior Arrows' fastest time of 11 minutes, 25 seconds.
Coleman Finch,
Jace Williamson,
Ethan McQueen, and
Adrian Brown all placed in the top 20. Finch was a top-10 finisher, running the two-mile course in 11 minutes, 46 seconds -- quick enough for seventh place. Williamson, McQueen, and Brown placed 13th, 14th, and 18th, respectively.

The Arrows head to the French Camp Invitational on Saturday, September 13, in French Camp. The Arrows have claimed victory at the event the past two seasons.
