The Clinton High School Football team looks to get back to its winning ways and clean up some miscues on Friday night.
In addition to a new opportunity, the Arrows will host their homecoming game when they play the Pearl Pirates at 7 p.m. on Arrow Field. It is the fourth non-district game for both teams.
Clinton suffered its first defeat of the 2025 season, falling in a 14-9 decision to the Brandon Bulldogs, last Friday, September 12. Hurt by self-inflicted mistakes such as turnovers and penalties, the Arrows know that these miscues are solvable and create a formula of success.
"The turnovers are one thing, but the penalties probably frustrated me more than anything," Clinton Head Football Coach Hamer Morgan said. "The five-yard penalties that create problems for any momentum. We have to clean those up."

- Tailgating is allowed on the grassy area next to Arrow Gym on the campus of Clinton High School (map below)
- Tailgating tent setup can not occur before 4 p.m. on Friday.
- There is no re-entry to Arrow Field without purchasing another ticket.
- Tickets will not be sold after the ticket gate is closed.
SERIES HISTORY
The Arrows and the Pirates have a long, storied history, including a matchup in the 2016 Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 6A state championship game -- the red and black's lone state title triumph.
Clinton leads the series 29-21 prior to the 51st meeting between the Jackson-Metro area schools.
It is the first meeting between the pair since a 32-22 Pearl win on August 22, 2019.
In the past 10 meetings, the Arrows have a 6-4 advantage in the series.
ARROW TOUCHDOWN CLUB
The Arrow Touchdown Club (ATC) will sell t-shirts, wristbands, pom poms, and cellphone cardholders at this week's game, helping to support fundraising efforts for the football team.

The ATC will also offer single-game tickets to the Big Red Arrow Club (BRAC)Â seating for $15, which includes a media guide with a purchase of BRAC single-game tickets.
If an individual has already purchased general admission seats through GoFan, they can upgrade their ticket for an additional $5 to the BRAC and receive a program, as well.

The Clinton-Pearl game will be video broadcast with play-by-play commentary on Hudl TV. Hudl TV can be accessed on an
internet browser or the Hudl Fan App on any smart television (the best method for Hudl TV).
Friday night's stream will include a special presentation of the 2025 Homecoming Court during the game's halftime.
If you are unable to video stream the game, Clinton offers a simultaneous radio broadcast on WJNT 1180 AM/96.9 FM. Both broadcasts will start at 6:30 p.m.
