FRENCH CAMP -- The Clinton High School Men's Cross Country team put on a dominating display at the French Camp Invitational on Saturday.
The Arrows landed had 10 finishers inside the top 15 of the 5000m race, winning the team competition handily with the lowest score of 19 points.
Godwin Onyia won the individual competition and set the pace for Clinton with his time of 17 minutes, five seconds.
Onyia shaved off 16 seconds from his previous 5000m race time at the Fleet Feet Tupelo Invitational on September 6, and Saturday's time set a new personal record for the sophomore.
Logan Moore, a freshman, placed second individually with a time of 17 minutes, 32 seconds, and
Tobias Atkinson added his third-place finish with a time of 18:01.
Bobby Guillory finished in 18 minutes, 16 seconds, and
Noah Duncan rounded out the scoring Arrows with his 18:18. Guillory and Duncan placed sixth and seventh, respectively.
Ezra Connelly finished ninth, and
Will Kennedy placed 10th.
Matthew Harrison,
Daniel Dolson, and
Dillon Pittman were the other Clinton runners that landed in the top 15.
In the 3200m junior-high race,
Micah Kieffer paced the Arrows with his victorious individual time of 11 minutes, 47 seconds, and the team claimed the competition with a perfect 15 score.
Coleman Finch, who finished second individually, added an 11:58 time, and
Jace Williamson's 12:10 landed him in third.
Ethan McQueen placed fourth with a time of 12:16, and
Adrian Brown ran into the fifth-place spot with a time of 12:28.

John Chittom,
Emmaus Vandersteen,
Jaden Dasary, and
John Burgess, all claimed spots within the 3200m race's top 15.
