MADISON – The Clinton Arrows Swim Team (CAST) opened its 2025 season and qualified several swimmers into the MHSAA Class III North State Championships.
CAST competed in their first squad meet against host-school Germantown High School, Jim Hill High School, Madison Central High School, Murrah High School, and Ridgeland High School in the Malcolm McArthur Meet at Cypress Lake Swimming Pool on Saturday. Both women's and men's teams finished in third place, and nine CAST swimmers qualified for the North State meet on Oct. 4 in Cleveland.
"This is the largest swim team in history of Clinton Athletics, and this first meet was a huge step for these athletes to come together as one to represent the Arrows," CAST Head Coach Marcy Rushing said. "It was heartwarming to see the team encourage one another; parents commented on how uplifting they were towards each other and how the Arrows cheered the loudest."
