MADISON -- The Clinton High School Men's Powerlifting team advanced five powerlifters from the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Region 2-7A Meet on Saturday at Rosa Scott School. These five Arrows will represent Clinton in the MHSAA Class 7A North State Powerlifting Meet on Saturday, Feb. 22, in Lewisburg.
Eddie Eley won first place in the 185-pound weight class. Clinton's two second-place finishers were Vincent Vann (148-pound weight class) and Doy Taylor (220-pound weight class). The Arrows had two third-place finishers, as well, which included Michael Baker (165-pound weight class) and Lazavian Tinner (242-pound weight class).
The Clinton Men's Powerlifting team is under the direction of Markevius Hoskins.
