JACKSON -- The Clinton High School Men's Basketball team kept their nerve against the Murrah Mustangs in an important Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) District 2-7A contest on Tuesday night.
Clinton placed three scorers in double figures and kept their focus in a 66-62 win over Murrah at Northwest Jackson Middle School.
Shiloh Freeman tallied 15 points, including 2-of-5 shooting from 3-point range, and five rebounds.
Jakobe Cavett netted 11 points, and
Jamari Young scored 10 points.
Clinton (13-12, 3-6 District 2-7A) narrowly beat their hosts in shooting percentage -- 42 percent to 40 percent -- and won the battle of the boards, 37-35.
