The Clinton High School Volleyball team collected a clean sweep on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Arrows defeated the Murrah Lady Mustangs 3-0 in a Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Region 2-7A game at Clinton High School gym. The Clinton Junior-Varsity team defeated the Lady Mustangs in a one-set match.

Clinton jumped out to a fast start in the opening set, defeating Murrah 25-5. The second set saw the Lady Arrows hold their composure and pull out a 25-20 decision in the second set. Then, the Lady Arrows ran away with the third set, 25-14.

THE STATS

Madison Harris aced 10 serves, and Jaliyah Harrington served up seven.

Taylor Finley led the Lady Arrows with six kills. Harrington had 16 assists on Clinton's attacks.

Madison Harris had four digs.

UP NEXT

Clinton returns to action with a non-region game against St. Andrew's Episcopal School on Thursday. The Lady Arrows and Lady Saints square off at 5 p.m. with JV action and Varsity action at 6 p.m. at St. Andrew's in Ridgeland.
