RIDGELAND -- The Clinton High School Volleyball team opened its 2024 season in the Infinity Tournament Friday and Saturday at the Infinity Volleyball Academy.
The Lady Arrows dropped its opener against the Belmont Cardinals in two straight sets (17-25, 20-25). Clinton secured its season first win with a straight-set victory over Pearl High School (25-19, 28-26) before falling to Our Lady Academy of Bay St. Louis in straight sets (14-25, 23-25), closing out the Friday tripleheader. On Saturday morning's knockout bracket, the Lady Arrows lost to Warren Central in two sets (23-25, 15-25), eliminating the team from the tournament.
Clinton returns to action against the Murrah Mustangs in its Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Region 2-7A opener on Tuesday night in Jackson. The first set starts at 6 p.m.
