The Clinton High School Volleyball team experienced some more growing pains in a Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Region 2-7A match on Tuesday evening.
The Lady Arrows dropped all three sets in the best out of five contest against Madison Central High School at the Clinton High School (CHS) gym. The Lady Jaguars won the sets 25-6, 25-16, and 25-9 in the region match.
Individually, Clinton's freshman led the way in all statistical categories. Jaliyah Harrington bolstered the effort with 12 assists against Madison. Tenley Prestwood led the Lady Arrows with three kills. Taylor Finley collected three blocks, and Joelle Ambrose six digs for the Lady Arrows' defense.
In the junior-varsity match, the Lady Jaguars defeated the Lady Arrows, 2-0.
Clinton returns to volleyball action against MHSAA Region 2-7A opponent, Murrah High School, on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at CHS. The JV match kicks off the night at 5 p.m. and the Varsity match starts around 6 p.m. The Lady Arrows defeated Murrah, 3-0, in the first region match on Tuesday, Aug. 6, in Jackson.
