The Clinton High School (CHS) Volleyball team continued its Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Region 2-7A schedule on Tuesday evening.
Facing off against Germantown High School, the Lady Arrows dropped the region game in straight sets as Germantown notched a 3-0 victory on the campus of CHS. It was the second straight loss for Clinton after a loss to the Tupelo Lady Wave this past Friday (Aug. 9).
Clinton had several players highlight its stat sheet. Aubrey Joiner, a freshman, collected seven kills and three blocks. Senior Mary Preston Bruce tallied eight assists for the Lady Arrows. Joelle Ambrose helped Clinton's defensively as the freshman had six digs on the night.
The Lady Arrows (2-5, 1-2 Region 2-7A) travel to Tupelo this Friday for its second match-up with the Lady Wave. The junior-varsity team plays at 5 p.m., and the varsity team starts off at approximately 6 p.m.
