Northwest Rankin Week 1 Recap
The Cougars went down early to Germantown last week with the Mavericks getting out to a 14-0 lead after the 1st quarter. The comeback was fueled by a balanced attack that saw the Cougars gain 294 yards through the air and 171 yards on the ground.
Senior QB Wesley White went 17 of 38 passing for 294 yards and 3 TDs. RB Dylan Lewis carried the ball 16 times for 93 yards and a score. Freshman WR De'Shawn Dillon caught 8 passes for 189 and 2 TDs, including a 97 yard scoring reception.
