The Clinton Arrows travel to Madison to take on the Jaguars of Madison Central High School in the season finale on Thursday night at 7 PM.  The Arrows enter the contest with a record of 1-8 and 0-3 record in Region 2-7A.  The Jaguars enter the contest with a 5-4 overall record and a 1-2 record in Region 2-7A.  Thursday night's contest is a playoff game in itself as the winner will clinch a playoff berth and the loser's season will be over.

When Clinton Has the Ball:
The Arrows have found their stride in the last two ballgames with the return of Senior QB Sam Semi and the ability to move players to their strongest positions.  The Arrows have averaged 31.5 PPG in their last 2 ballgames, scoring 28 points against Tupelo and 35 points against Germantown.  Against the Mavericks last Friday night, the Arrows rushed the ball 26 times for 171 yards, and threw the ball 19 times, completing 16 passes for 251 yards.  Semi was 15 of 18 for 218 yards and 3 TD.  Semi also led the team in rushing from the QB position with 11 carries for 79 yards.  The Jaguars' defense averages giving up 18.4 points per game throughout the 2023 season.  Jaguar LB Ryan McCall leads the team with 78 tackles, followed by LB Rickey Banks who has 71 tackles on the season.

When Madison Central Has the Ball:
The Jaguars have averaged 24.8 PPG this season, using a balanced attack through the air and on the ground.  The Jaguars average 161 yards per game rushing and 160 yards per game passing.  The Jaguars use a split QB system, playing both Jaiden Johnson and Benjamin Picarella.  Johnson has thrown for 736 yards on 42 of 75 attempts on the year with 4 TD and 2 INT.  Picarella has thrown for 708 yards on 50 of 100 attempts with 6 TD and 6 INT.  On the ground, the Jaguar attack is led by Glen Singleton, who has 157 carries for 837 yards and 10 TD.  Singleton averages 5.3 yards per carry and 93 yards per game on the ground.
