Coach Rushing is entering her 6th year as the Swim Coach for the Arrows and Lady Arrows.
Coach Rushing's favorite quote about coaching comes from the great Paul "Bear" Bryant, "It’s not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference."
In addition to her service for Clinton Public Schools, Rushing also serves as a coach for the Mississippi Makos.
Rushing came to Clinton as a highly decorated swimmer, as she was a 4 year All-American at the University of Alabama and was a 2 time Olympic Trial Qualifier.
Rushing has led her Boys' Team to a Top 8 finish each of the last 4 years
Rushing is married to her husband, Tim, and they have 3 children. They have 2 daughters, Abbie and Ellie, and one son, Kent.
