Coach Perkins has spent the last 13 years at Clinton, currently serving as the Head Coach for the Track and Field programs, but has also served in multiple other roles throughout his tenure as both a head coach and an assistant coach.
"Being able to bring championships home to my alma mater is amazing. I never could have imagined how successful our track and field program was going to be when I returned to Clinton in 2011 to coach. It is very humbling to be a part of all the achievements that the track and field program has accomplished, and I am always excited for the next season to see what the next team will achieve!"
During his time at Clinton, Perkins has led the Arrows and Lady Arrows Track and Field teams to multiple championships at both the regional and state levels.
Before coming to Clinton, Perkins served at Raymond High School from 2004-2011.
Perkins spent his playing days at Hinds Community College, where he played football for one year and was a part of the 1997 State Championship team.
Perkins graduated from CHS in 1996, received his Bachelor's Degree in Math Education from Jackson State University in 2004 and his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College in 2021. Perkins is married to his wife of 18 years, the former Corita Guyton, and they have 4 sons (Austin, Avaun, Nathan, and Zandon) and 2 dogs (Ory and Cash).
