SAM TEMPLE

2023-2024 will be Coach Temple's 3rd serving as the Head Coach of the Arrows baseball program since returning from a previous stint in 2002.  Temple also serves as the district's Assistant Athletic Director.

"Coaching is my way of giving back to this school district and community that has given my own family so much through the years. It is a great honor to work for a school district and be apart of a community that supports our student's education and athletic programs so well."

Before coming to Clinton, Temple coached at Delta State University, Warren Central High School, Mississippi College, and Hinds Community College.

During his time at Warren Central, Temple led the Vikings to the 2001 MHSAA 5A State Championship.

During his time in Raymond at Hinds Community College, Temple led the Eagles to the MACJC State Championship in 2010, 2012, and 2017.  His teams also won NJCAA Regional Championships in 2014 and 2017.  Temple was named the MACJC Coach of the Year in 2010, 2012, and 2017.  In 2014, Temple was named the NJCAA South Regional Coach of the Year.  In 2015, he was named Mississippi Assocation of Coaches Coach of the Year.

Temple spent his playing days in Raymond at Hinds Community College before moving to Cleveland and playing for Delta State University,

Temple is married to his wife, Kristen, and they have 3 children, son Garren (CHS Class of 2021), daughter Grayson (CHS Class of 2024), and son Gage (CHS Class of 2027).
